Consignment Agreement

Welcome, Friend! We’re delighted you’re considering giving your items a second chance with us. At Second Chances Crazy Cool Consignments, we believe in keeping treasures out of landfills, supporting our community, and making resale a joyful experience. Here’s how it works:

🎯 What We Accept

When you bring treasures to us, our team carefully selects what matches our customers’ needs and preferences. Sometimes we must pass on certain items — it’s not personal, it’s simply about quality, condition, and what sells best.

You may choose to have unaccepted items returned to you or donated on your behalf. If items are left for review and you’d like them back, we’ll give you a call when they’re ready. Please pick them up within 10 calendar days of our call. After that, any unclaimed items become property of Second Chances CCC and may be used or donated at our discretion.

💰 Consignment Splits

We price items fairly to sell, balancing affordability with value. Splits are:

• $10–$299 → 40% consignor / 60% store
  
  

• $300+ → 50% consignor / 50% store

As funds are available, the store may offer an immediate upfront payment at a smaller share of the item’s value.  

A small handling fee may be added to each item’s tag. Online sales are split after third-party fees.

💻 Tracking & Payments

• You’ll get an online account to see sales and balances.
  
  

• Balances of $25 or more may be paid out, absent request by consignor, up to four times annually for accounting purposes.  

• Absent payments being initiated by Second Chances CCC, consignors are responsible for requesting their payments.
  
  

  • This may be in the form of check ($2.00 fee) or e-payment as available.
    
    

• Consignors are encouraged to claim funds promptly. After 12 months, unclaimed balances may be forfeited or become subject to transfer to the State of NH as unclaimed property.
  
  

⏳ Consignment Period

• 90 day consignment period.  Reductions of 25% of the original price occur at the 30 and 60 day mark.
  
  

• Items not sold must be picked up within 10 days of the consignment period ending, or they become property of the shop/donated.  It is the consignors' responsibility to know when their consignment term ends.
  
  

• We may mark down prices at any time to keep inventory moving.
  
  

🚫 Condition Standards

Items must be clean, fresh, authentic, and in ready-to-sell condition. Items with stains, tears, odors, or counterfeit concerns may be automatically donated. 

📋 Fees

• Because we invested our time, there may be a 20% fee (based on listed price) if you request to pull items early.
  
  

🔒 Liability

We’ll treat your items with care, but we cannot be responsible for loss, theft, or damage. By consigning, you agree to these terms.

📜 Conflict of Interest – Consignment by Board Members

Board members, officers, and key employees may consign personal items at the store, provided they do so under the same standard terms and conditions as all other consignors. No special rates, priority treatment, or early payouts may be given. All consignment accounts belonging to these individuals will be consistently available for review by the board. In the event of any decision directly affecting board members’ or officers’ consignment arrangements, that individual must recuse themselves from the vote.
