Behind every thriving mission is a team that believes in it wholeheartedly. Our board members have been the steady backbone of Second Chances — guiding strategy, offering wisdom, and working tirelessly to bring this store to life. Their shared commitment to empowerment and community impact drives our continued growth.

Sarah Hume
Founder & CEO - Sarah Hume is the founder and driving force behind Second Chances Crazy Cool Consignments. With two master’s degrees and a professional background in education and transition services, she has dedicated her career to empowering individuals to build confidence, independence, and meaningful life skills. Recognized as one of New Hampshire’s Outstanding Women and having represented the state on an international stage, Sarah brings thoughtful leadership, humility, and heart to her work. Her extensive volunteer activism in education and humanitarian efforts reflects a deep commitment to service and community impact. Inspired by her love of travel, spiritual practice, and a desire to cultivate positivity, she created Second Chances as a welcoming space where sustainability, opportunity, and connection come together.

James Hume
Vice President - James works full-time while bringing creativity and perspective to Second Chances, shaped by his degree in Film. A natural storyteller and big-picture thinker, he approaches both life and business with thoughtfulness and depth. Though initially nervous about launching a new venture, he chose courage over comfort and has been steadfast in his support of Second Chances from the very beginning. Simultaneously, he is developing an adaptogenic functional bar designed to offer Goffstown a healthier, more intentional social experience. A lover of travel and new experiences, he continues to rebuild and refine his life with authenticity, resilience, and a renewed commitment to positivity — always moving forward with quiet determination.

Pamela Caron
Secretary & Logistics - Pam is the steady, quiet force who keeps everything running smoothly. She lovingly and selflessly cares for the people in her life, always noticing — and tending to — the small details others might overlook or simply not have time for. Completely dependable, Pam does exactly what she says she will do, following through with consistency and integrity. She works hard to understand every process and takes pride in doing things the right way. Though often soft-spoken, she has a perfectly timed sense of humor and will surprise you with a sharp little zinger when you least expect it, often leaving people laughing - and surprised!

Deb A' Sara Heart
Lover of & Guide of Humanity - Deb Heart brings 25 years of nursing experience to her work as a wellness educator and founder of ItIsAllAlchemy.com. As a board member, she is passionate about cultivating conscious community and integrative healing, thoughtfully bridging her clinical background with intuitive, ritual-based wellness practices. Through her Sacred Healing Waters, Codex Elixirs, and auric sprays, she creates intentionally crafted tools designed to support balance, vitality, and the body’s natural intelligence.

Nicole Adkins
Treasurer - With a long and fulfilling career as a dental hygienist, she has always been passionate about helping people feel confident, cared for, and comfortable in their own skin. Having lived in many parts of the country, she brings a broad perspective and a natural ease in connecting with people from all walks of life. Known for her kindness, compassion, and strong work ethic, she shows up fully — whether supporting patients, collaborating with others, or giving back to her community. Making a positive difference isn’t just something she does; it’s truly at the heart of who she is.

Stephanie Caron
Founding Team Member - While Stephanie is not a board member, she is Pam's daughter and has been hard at work at Second Chances since day 1!
With her permission, we proudly share that she has Williams Syndrome — something she speaks about openly and with pride. A passionate advocate, she is a champion for educating others about Williams Syndrome and even helped found a podcast dedicated to raising awareness and sharing stories within the community. She also works at Chaos & Kindness, a nonprofit retail space that celebrates and uplifts people with disabilities, where her warmth and authenticity shine.
A true Day One supporter of Second Chances, she has been part of the team from the very beginning — helping wherever and however she can. Though she faces ongoing health challenges, her perseverance is remarkable. She loves people wholeheartedly, thrives on inclusion, and brings light into every room with her constant smile and infectious laughter. Her presence is a beautiful reminder of why our mission matters.
